On 3 January 2020, the new and modern Queen Morta school opens its doors to the rapidly growing Kalnėnai District. With the Vaikystės Sodas kindergarten under its roof, it is a large community centre for local residents. The extensive grounds of the school allowed housing for gymnasium classes 9-12. The kindergarten and school will be attended by more than 1000 children.

The building and surroundings are designed in line with the best practices of educational institutions around the world and the highest applicable standards.

About project

The Queen Morta school project is being implemented by BaltCap Infrastructure Fund, the fund of private equity investor BaltCap. The planned investment is €11 million. After construction is completed, the building will remain under the ownership of the fund. The school design was executed by Barprojektas and the construction will be carried out by Merko Statyba. The total value of construction works is €7.4 million (excl. VAT).
